"I'd Rather Be At The Beach" Blog Hop, May 18-22, Day 5.

Welcome to the "I'd Rather Be At The Beach" Blog Hop. This blog hop runs from May 18-22. If you are coming from Theresa: http://www.thescrapbookingqueen.com/ Blog you’re on the right track. If you just joined us, you can go back to the beginning HERE and hop along with us. We’ve had so much fun creating this hop, and we have a wonderful line up with some oh-so-talented crafters. You will find loads of projects with a beachy theme throughout this hop! If you love the beach as much as I do, then you won't want to miss this one! We have LOTS of blog candy to offer! Please check back daily for your chance to win!

Here's the lineup:

Now onto my blog candy, I am awarding the winner of my blog candy a grab bag of goodies.  To WIN my prize all you need to do is comment below this post and become a FOLLOWER of my blog and a FOLLOWER of my facebook page at Scrapping With Lisa- http://www.facebook.com/pages/Scrapping-with-Lisa/130882060268842, or state that you are already a FOLLOWER.

My project is a little different. This isn't a normal beach layout.   It reminds me of the times when I grew up in Wabasha and my family would take a picnic basket down to our local beach alongside the Mississippi River.  Most people think of beaches alongside oceans but when you grow up in Minnesota, we think of beaches alongside rivers and lakes.  Those days we went down to the beach were some of the happiest times of my life before my father passed away when I was 10.  So this layout is dedicated to my father.  Here is my project for today.  You can find my layouts on ebay at lisaboegeman2009 or search for TSPD.

Thanks so much for stopping by and please come back tomorrow for another project! Make sure you hop along and see what Elsa: http://justafewdesigns.blogspot.com/  has in store for today!

This tugs at my heartstrings a bit. My dad passed away 8 years ago and I recently wrote a tribute to him on my blog. Check it out if you get a chance. It's a few posts back. Love your layout and the thought behind it. Lovely. Thanks for the chance to win too!

Hugs and sympathetic thoughts,

This is so sweet, Lisa! And I rather like that it's not the typical beach layout. I grew up in Northeast Texas and it was lakes and rivers for me too. TFS!
