TARTAN DAY BLOG HOP 6TH APRIL 2011

Hello everyone and welcome to the Tartan Day blog hop on April 6, 2011 - I hope you enjoy it.

If you have come from Jill’s blog you’re on the right track. If not, and just lucked up on this blog, you can go back to the beginning HERE and hop along with us.

The theme of this hop is Tartan Day and what we are doing on this hop is bringing together a select few people from all over the world to take part and for them to create a project with an element of tartan on it.

This is a hop with a difference, along the hop there are letters to find in the different blogs - not all blogs have the letters. If you gather all the letters together and unscramble them to create a scottish themed word and then you return to Gill's blog.  You are then to find and enter the Mr Linky at the bottom of Gill's post but please do not reveal the secret word yet. After the hop Gill will contact someone at random and ask them to email her with the word - if correct they win some lovely candy.I can now reveal that I do not have a hidden blog hop letter.

There are a lot of talented women on this hop and I hope you enjoy looking through their hop entries.  So now please hop on over to Alethea's for the next tartan project.

Here is the line up in case you get lost along the hop.
8.  Amanda   www.scrapanddash.com
20.  Lisa P  http://handmadewithlove-lisa.blogspot.com/  You are here!
22.  Nancy http://blog.fancywithnancy.com/

Good luck everyone and thank you for hopping along.

Now onto my blog candy, I am awarding the winner of my blog candy a 2 page custom layout.  To WIN my prize all you need to do is coment below this post and become a FOLLOWER of my blog and a FOLLOWER of my facebook page at Scrapping With Lisa - http://www.facebook.com/pages/Scrapping-with-Lisa/130882060268842, or state that you are already a FOLLOWER. I will draw for the prize on April 7th and post the WINNER!! Good LUCK.

Now for my project, I chose to do a card with Kennedy plaids, which is the green and blues plaids.  I couldn't find exactly the right plaid so I am improvising.  A note of interest, in my family line, we have Queen Mary of Scotts.   I know my dad's coat of arms included a lion.  Whenever I think of my Scottish heritage, I think of a guy playing the bagpipes wearing the Kennedy plaids.  So I hope you enjoy my card.

Hiya Lisa

What a great wee card. The bear is very cute and cuddly with his bagpipes. Hope they're in tune! Don't actually like the pipes, which sounds awful considering I'm from the Highlands of Scotland!

The tartan paper and the card you've used to make the bear all blend in well together.

Us "Lisa's" are very creative!

Keep us the good work.

Lisa xx
